FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers about booking, etiquette, payments, and visiting Lucy's Massage and TLC in Victoria, BC.

Booking a Session

What information should I provide when booking?

Please include your first name, the day and time you would like to book, and the session length you are interested in. This makes it easier to confirm availability quickly.

Should I just text “hi” or “are you available?”

It is much better to introduce yourself and include the booking details above. Short messages without details are harder to respond to and may slow down the booking process.

How are appointments managed?

Many appointments are reserved in advance. Lucy confirms bookings, reviews requests, and responds as availability allows. Providing complete details helps avoid back-and-forth messages.

Do you accept new clients?

Yes, new clients are welcome. Please read the website first so you understand the services, rates, booking process, and expectations before contacting Lucy.

Services and Expectations

Do you offer services not listed on the website?

No. Lucy offers the services described on this website. Please review the rates and service details before booking.

Are you a registered massage therapist?

No. Lucy is not a registered massage therapist, and appointments are not eligible for medical insurance reimbursement or tax claims.

Etiquette and Preparation

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please arrive clean, respectful, and ready to relax. Good hygiene is appreciated and helps make the appointment more comfortable for everyone.

Should I be discreet when arriving?

Yes. Please enter quietly and respectfully so neighbours are not disturbed. Discretion is appreciated.

What if I am nervous or have questions?

That is completely normal. You are welcome to ask respectful questions before or during your appointment so expectations are clear.

Massage Oil and Products

What type of oil do you use?

Lucy uses unscented fractionated coconut oil. It is warmed before use and chosen because it feels comfortable on the skin and washes off more easily than heavier oils.

Will the oil wash off easily?

Yes. Fractionated coconut oil is lighter than regular coconut oil and usually washes off easily.

What products are used for cleaning?

Cleaning products may include disinfecting wipes and household cleaners for surfaces, plus gentle soap products for guest use. If you have allergies or sensitivities, please mention them before booking.

Payment

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash and debit are preferred. Credit cards may also be accepted. Advance payments may be available by e-transfer or PayPal when needed.

Do you accept prepaid Visa or gift cards?

Prepaid cards may be accepted, but an additional fee may apply because of processing costs.

What name appears on card statements?
